About the program
Ignite is a leadership program for supervisors, team leaders and coordinators in Local Government. The program will prompt learners to think
beyond the immediate priorities and to explore long-term solutions to
challenges and issues in the context of their workplace.
The focus of the program is to enable those who have limited experience in managing and leading people to develop the competencies required to be successful in their role.
Learners will develop their leadership and influence to enhance their effectiveness. They will investigate a range of concepts through discussion and debate with a diverse range of presenters including sector and non-sector leaders – to both challenge and inspire the learners thinking and approach. The focus will be on the following areas:
- Leading and Supervising in Local Government
- Manage Risks Associated with Complexity and Ambiguity
- Lead and Develop High Performing Teams
