About the Special Interest Group

The Property Special Interest Group represents 30 urban and regional municipalities. The Special Interest Group meets quarterly at various municipalities and incorporates guest speakers or presentations in an area of interest plus informal discussions into meetings. Joining the Property Special Interest Group provides a wonderful opportunity to network, identify and implement best practice policies and procedures, learn from others approaches to similar issues, share successes and hear how others are overcoming challenges, as well as learning about the latest developments.

In between meetings, Special Interest Group participants are able to utilise the Online Network forum to solve problems together, share ideas, documents and approaches.

  Online community

This Special Interest Group is supported by an online community. We believe that accessing knowledge from individuals who work in a similar environment is invaluable and should never be underestimated. Our communities are only for people working in Local Government and there are many benefits to participating in them. They are a great way to keep in touch in between meetings, by asking your fellow colleagues questions and sharing resources. You can also see who else is involved and get in touch with them quickly.  Agendas, minutes, presentations and other resources will also be posted on the online community.
