Presenter: Dr Katherine Gibney, Medical Doctor specialised in infectious diseases and public health, Doherty Institute and The Royal Melbourne Hospital

Dr Gibney has been involved in the COVID-19 response at the national, state, and hospital level, in clinical, public health and research spheres. 

During this presentation she will take us through the impact on local Councils to date and what the likely impact and role of Local Government will be in the coming months.

Kristen Hilton, Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commissioner
As Commissioner, Kristen’s role is to promote and protect human rights and equality across the state and lead the Commission’s work in creating a rights respecting culture within organisations, governments and communities. 

Kristen has specific responsibilities under the Equal Opportunity Act (Vic), the Racial and Religious Tolerance Act (Vic) and the Charter of Rights and Responsibilities (Vic).
