Women's Professional Development Forum

About the forum

Our Women’s Professional Development Forum addresses the issues, opportunities and challenges faced by women working in Local Government. Women working at all levels are encouraged to attend for leadership development and personal growth.

The aim of the forum is to highlight the issues facing women working in the sector, to develop leadership skills, enhance personal growth, and provide insights into how the sector can collectively go forward in addressing women’s issues in the workplace.

2018 program

Our 2018 LGPro Women’s Professional Development Forum will be held on Thursday 26 July from 9.30am - 5pm at Melbourne Park Function Centre.

It will be followed by the Women’s Network Dinner which will be held at the same venue from 6.30pm.

The forum targets officers working at all levels in Local Government regardless of their location, level or professional background. As well as addressing issues, opportunities and challenges facing women, it also supports career development and provides personal growth strategies and shared approaches to addressing these issues.
