Women's Network Dinner

About the dinner

The Women's Network Dinner is a popular event on the Local Government calendar and provides a great opportunity for women and men working at all levels to expand their networks and share ideas with colleagues in the sector. The dinner follows on from the Women's Professional Development Forum which celebrates the achievements of women in Local Government.

Each year, we feature leading female thought leaders and advocates for women's issues. Many Councils take the opportunity to book a full table at the dinner as reward and recognition for their staff.

2018 program

The 2018 Women's Network Dinner will be held on Thursday 26 July at Melbourne Park Function Centre.

It will feature a keynote address by Melanie Raymond, the chair of Connect Communities who, in October 2012 was named one of Australia's Top 100 Most Influential Women in the Westpac & Australian Financial Review 100 Women of Influence Awards. Last year Melanie was awarded the Order of Australia medal in the Australia Day honours.

Another highlight of the evening will be the presentation of the winner of the 2018 Sally Isaac Memorial Scholarship Fund Award which recognises women, both in Local Government and beyond, 35 years and under who have demonstrated achievements in improving community life.
