Women's Network Dinner

About the dinner

This year’s Women’s Network Dinner will be held on Thursday 25 July at Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), Brunton Avenue, Richmond.

The Women's Network Dinner is a popular event on the Local Government calendar and provides a great opportunity for women and men working at all levels to expand their networks and share ideas with colleagues in the sector.

The dinner follows on from the Women's Professional Development Forum which celebrates the achievements of women in Local Government. Many Councils take the opportunity to book a full table at the dinner as reward and recognition for their staff.

Each year, a leading female thought leader or an advocate for women's issues addresses the dinner. This year’s speaker is Jamila Rizvi, author, presenter and political commentator.  She is the Editor-at-Large at Nine Network’s Future Women, is a regular commentator on The Project amongst other programs and has previously worked for the Rudd and Gillard Governments. She has also been named as one of Australia’s 100 Women of Influence by the Australian Financial Review.

The winner of the 2019 Sally Isaac Memorial Scholarship Fund Award will be announced on the night.

Registrations for individual and table bookings open.
