After a global pandemic changed the world forever, our 2021 conference theme of “Evolution – no going back” is about embracing a refreshed future and moving on.

It's time to look forward and ask, ‘where do we go from here?’ We're bringing together top leaders and forward thinkers from beyond the sector to lead the discussion, encourage delegates to look at what they do from different perspectives and hear about new ideas, fresh thinking and new practice. 

The full conference package in virtual format, for the first time, will allow delegates to access the complete program.  This means you can review and watch back at your leisure – with over 20 hours of content available at no extra cost!

Keynote speakers 
Bernard Salt is widely regarded as one of Australia’s leading social commentators by business, the media and the broader community. Bernard heads The Demographics Group which provides specialist advice on demographic, consumer and social trends for business.
Felicity Ward is a multi-award winning comedian, actor and writer who has toured her award-winning, sell-out shows across the world, winning hearts of audiences and critics everywhere she goes.

Presenters 
Sohail Inayatullah
is a political scientist/futurist at Tamkang University, Taipei, an Associate at Melbourne Business School; the University of Melbourne and researcher at Metafuture.org who has authored and coedited 25 books including Ten Disruptions that Change Everything (2018).
Dr Jenny Frahm  
is a global expert on organisational change and transformation and an executive coach. Jen is a tamer of ambiguity, speaker of truths and solver of problems. 
Alexandra Gartmann  is the CEO Rural Bank & Group Executive Partnerships, Marketing and Corporate Affairs. Alexandra joined Bendigo and Adelaide Bank in October 2015 as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer for Rural Bank, having been a member of the Board since November 2014
Wallace Jin was recognised as the 2020 Victorian Young Achiever of the Year. He is a doctor at the Royal Melbourne Hospital with a passion for healthcare, social impact, and systems-level change.

Round Table sessions 
There are two virtual round table conversations in the conference program this year. The format will allow delegates to hear from leaders in their respective field, then explore these concepts further in virtual round table discussions to be facilitated by alumni of LGPro leadership programs. The sessions run for 45 minutes.

Concurrent workshops 
This year we are running four streams over the course of three days. Each stream explores a theme and comprises three workshops which will run concurrently each day - that's 12 interactive workshops across three days!

Panel discussion
Panelists Adam Fennessy, Public Sector commissioner, Ro Allen, Victorian commissioner for gender and sexuality, Dr Niki Vincent, gender equality in Public Sector commissioner explore how does the role of commissioners intersect with local government,  how does local government fit in the pursuit of advancing these issues and how can councils play a more meaningful role in advancing these agendas?

(2) Three Course Plated Menu - serves 1, $79 per person incl GST & Delivery (this option is available for delegates joining the streaming of the awards ceremony on Day 3 and is a great option for Council officers planning to watch and celebrate the awards ceremony with their team at a Council venue or from home).
 


This menu option will come with simple instructions to heat & assemble the menu.

Poached chicken breast with pea custard, parmesan, asparagus & tendrils
Chermoula roasted eggplant with hazelnut hummus, goats’ cheese, seeds and nuts
Cured salmon with fennel, orange, beetroot, and almond crumb
Main
Slow cooked beef cheek with potato puree, buttered broccolini, Dutch carrots and jus
Potato gnocchi with pumpkin, roasted cauliflower, peas, and nut butter
Tasmanian Salmon and Bok choy, shitake mushroom, soba noodle and tofu sesame dressing
Dessert
Freeze dried strawberry meringue with white chocolate ganache, mango, and lime
Vanilla baked peach crumble with double cream

Package upgrade
$25.00 per person to include a bottle of sparkling, white or red wine (total package price $104).

Delivery details:
Deliverable area includes Melbourne Metropolitan area, Geelong/ Surf Coast, Mornington Peninsula, Bacchus Marsh & Macedon. Ballarat deliveries have a minimum spend of 10 orders for the area. Unfortunately meals cannot be delivered to all regional Victorian areas and Councils in these areas are encouraged to organise catering through local suppliers particularly if they are keen to watch the day three awards ceremony with their team from their Council venue.

Canape package deliveries will be made Tuesday 23 February and three course plated option will be delivered Thursday 25 February between 8am-5pm.
