Why a Risk Special Interest Group? Whilst risk management is everyone’s responsibility, there are designated positions in Local Government responsible for overseeing strategic and operational enterprise-wide risk management. The objective of this special interest group is to support and connect Local Government risk professionals in recognising and dealing with the unique challenges presented by the management of risk in Local Government. In doing this through the LGPro platform, it will foster professionalism and guide the attainment of key group objectives to ensure that learning and discussion will lead to the development of best practice risk management.
