The LGPro PA SIG has recently changed the name to Office Professionals to include many of the Admin Staff who perform similar tasks to the PA's. This will strengthen the networking group and be beneficial in many ways. Key areas of interest are issues such as the roles of different Government officers, i.e. Economic & Community Development and Health to mention just a few, but also women in high positions such as CEO's, Managing Directors of Corporate Businesses as well as State and Local Government. Property Network
The Property Network Group began as an informal meeting between a handful of officers from a small number of Councils interested in sharing information for the purpose of satisfying Best Value benchmarking requirements. Since this first meting in August 2001 attended by 7 people, the group has grown to a mail list of over 60 members, representing over 30 municipalities from both urban and regional areas.

More recently, in March 2006, a second network group formed. The second group’s agenda was to address issues arising relating to major projects and the strategic aspects of managing a property portfolio. This group is still in its developmental stages.

The new Property Network Group will represent the interests of both the above groups.

The group meets quarterly at various municipalities. The meetings generally involve a guest speaker or presentation in an area of interest, and an informal discussion session. The following Mission, Objectives and Interest Areas provide some insight into the what the group does.
