Click here to download the Rules LGPro is the peak body for Local Government professionals in Victoria. We develop and deliver high quality professional development activities and services, facilitate positive communication between the sector and State and Federal Government, and represent the views of officers where this expert advice is required in the consultation process on legislation and policy and program development. While we are a member organisation, non-members access many of our activities and services. Local Government Professionals was created in 1996/97 through the merger of the Victorian branches of three organizations; the Institute of Municipal Management, the Institute of Municipal Engineering Australia and the Victorian Municipal Community Services Association. Our members across the state represent the professionals of Victoria's 79 Councils.
In addition to our focus on Victorian Local Government we are: MISSION “To be the peak body for local government professionals in Victoria providing leadership, professional development and fellowship”. GUIDING PRINCIPLES & VALUES As the peak professional body for Local Government professionals, LGPro develops and delivers high quality professional development activities and services, facilitates positive communication with State and Federal Government and the private sector, and represents the views of officers where this expert advice is required.
