Mike’s skills lie in the areas of leading, managing and developing people. He has a keen eye for the commercialisation of opportunities and thinks strategically. Mike’s well-developed analytical skills have been applied in building and maintaining business relationships, as well as relationships in the educational and counselling fields. Mike has a high level of competency in coaching, counselling, public speaking, teaching and facilitating, Mike’s extensive business management and general management experience has given him a high level of understanding of the challenges and pressures faced by leaders in a turbulent and uncertain environment. Mike is one of those rare people who combine a passion for working with groups and individuals with a wealth of industry experience, including working in senior executive positions for a range of organisations both locally and overseas. He has been the Director of Buying for a large retail outlet and CEO of an Australian/New Zealand subsidiary of a UK multi national. He has also operated his own successful strategic planning and marketing consultancy, employing a large team of consultants.
What Mike has realised as a result of his long experience in senior management roles is that the secret of success in implementation of strategy lies within the level of engagement and understanding of the people in the organisation. He now practises as an executive coach and mentor in addition to facilitating teams across all levels in organisations.
As a trained therapist and experienced line manager Mike has the ability to work with people from a range of backgrounds and with a range of personal and professional development challenges. His coaching and mentoring clients include CEO’s, senior and frontline managers in a variety of organisations. In addition to his corporate work, Mike also works as a volunteer phone counsellor with the Men’s Referral Service in Melbourne.
Mike has completed a Masters in Business Administration, a qualification that has informed him in the most current ideas and strategies of business theory and practice.
Mike is an experienced and qualified coach, who studied with Sydney University’s Department of Psychology Coaching Unit. Other formal qualifications include: a Graduate Certificate in Social Science, A Graduate Diploma in Family Therapy and a Master Practitioner in Neuro Linguistic Programming. He is also an accredited administrator of the Myers Briggs Type Indicator and the Enneagram, he is a qualified trainer.
This unique blend of theory and real life management experience gives Mike enormous credibility with people who find his approach engaging, effective and solution focused.
Lindy is a highly motivated, creative and versatile group facilitator with 18 years experience in both community and organisational development. She has worked extensively in local government and public sector organisations as an internal consultant, trainer and change facilitator, social planner and community development worker.
Lindy is passionate about collaboration and building organisational and community capacity through the development of spirited leaders and spirited teams. For the past several years Lindy has had a specific focus on the provision of high quality and timely consultancy advice and facilitation to Executive Managers and senior leaders within local councils.
Lindy’s specific expertise and focus have included: the management and development of leadership strategy and leadership capability planning, promoting and fostering leadership self awareness through the facilitation of specific programs, mentoring and coaching for leaders, team training workshops – focussing on the enhancement of critical self awareness and professional development, culture change programs, strategic visioning, values workshops, the design and facilitation of community engagement programs that foster integrity, inclusion and deliberation.
Lindy is also a member of the Centre for Organisation Development’s Coaching Bench, recognition of her leadership coaching and mentoring expertise. Her broad range of experience in both community services and corporate governance gives her an in depth understanding of the complexity of issues facing local governments today and effectively positions her to coach, encourage and motivate leaders and teams to lift their vision.
Lindy’s outstanding work in promoting an accessible and inclusive organisational culture saw her receiving 2 industry awards for innovation, leadership and integrated planning through the Victorian Local Government Accessible Communities Awards in 2000 and 2002.
Lindy has also worked extensively as a facilitator in the community sector, working with the Supported Accommodation and Assistance Program, Victorian AIDS Council, Urban Neighbourhoods of Hope and a range of non government agencies in the disability services sector.
Lindy’s qualifications in group facilitation and business management include: Certificate Advanced Group Facilitation, Diploma of Business Management, and Associate Diploma in Social Science. Lindy is also an accredited practitioner with the International Association of Public Participation, an accredited practitioner of the Enneagram system, advanced practitioner of the Team Management System Profile and a certified Open Space Technology facilitator. Lindy is also a member of the Wellspring Enneagram Network, the Australian Institute of Training and Development, the Australian Facilitators Network and the Victorian Facilitators Network.
